Terms of service

What we promise, what we will carry, what we charge, and what happens when something goes wrong.

Scootica Private Limited · CUIN 0358968 · Last updated

These terms govern your use of scootica.com and the delivery services provided by Scootica Private Limited (“Scootica”, “we”, “us”). By booking a delivery you accept them.

1 · What we do

We are a scheduled last-mile delivery service. We collect an item from one address and deliver it to another, inside a time window you choose, within the areas our network covers. For Pick & Deliver we also purchase an item on your behalf from a shop, within a budget you set.

We are a carrier. Except in Pick & Deliver, we are not the seller of the goods and we do not warrant their quality, fitness or description.

2 · Who can use Scootica

You must be 18 or over, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, and the information you give us must be accurate. Anyone may register — customer, shop or rider.

3 · Booking and payment

  • Nothing is booked until payment is confirmed, except cash on delivery, which is confirmed when the money is handed over.
  • Every charge is shown before you confirm. The delivery fee, the service fee, any COD handling charge, and the online payment fee if you pay by card or wallet. Nothing is added afterwards.
  • Tax. We do not currently charge tax. When we are registered for tax, it will appear as its own separate line before you pay, at the rate the law requires. We will not add it silently.
  • The payment fee is a real cost, shown separately. Bank transfer and cash carry no online payment fee. Choosing a wallet or Raast over a card genuinely costs you less, which is why we show you the difference rather than averaging it into the price.

4 · What we will carry, and what we will not

We carry what travels safely on a motorcycle. We will tell you yes or no at booking, not when the rider arrives.

We will not carry, and will not buy: anything illegal or restricted by law; prescription medicine; cash, gold, jewellery or anything whose value exceeds our cover limit; live animals; flammable, corrosive or hazardous goods; or anything a shop will not issue a receipt for.

If a parcel is found to contain any of these, we may stop the delivery, return it to you at your cost, and where the law requires it, report the matter.

5 · Delivery windows

You choose a window; we hold it. A window is a commitment to a period, not to a minute. Traffic, weather, a closed road or a public disturbance can move a window, and if that happens we will tell you rather than let you wonder.

If nobody is available to receive the item, the rider will call the number you gave. If the item still cannot be handed over, we return it and re-run it in the next window you choose. A second attempt may be charged, and that charge is quoted before it happens.

6 · Our cover limit

Up to Rs 10,000 per parcel, on the value you declare at booking. If you declare less than the item is worth, we can only cover what you declared. If you declare nothing, there is nothing to cover. Declaring honestly is how the cover works.

Cover applies to loss or to damage caused in our care. It does not cover goods that were already damaged, goods packed inadequately for a bike, perishables beyond their natural life, or losses that are consequential rather than the value of the item itself.

7 · Pick & Deliver — additional terms

  • You set a budget, and you pay it before the rider shops. The rider is funded by us and reimbursed from that budget.
  • The rider sends you photographs of what the shop has and will call you on WhatsApp video from the shop if you ask. You choose.
  • If the price exceeds your budget, the rider does not buy. He calls you. You may raise the budget and pay the difference, or cancel and have the item budget refunded in full.
  • The receipt is photographed and attached to your order. Your refund is your budget minus that receipt. You can check the arithmetic yourself.
  • We buy what you chose, from where you said. We cannot guarantee a shop's stock, price or quality, and the goods remain the shop's goods, sold on the shop's terms.

8 · Merchant accounts

If you open a merchant account, your rate, your collection window, your COD handling charge and your remittance cycle are confirmed to you in writing when the account opens. Those written terms govern your account alongside this page. We will not change them without telling you first.

9 · Cash on delivery

Where we collect cash on your behalf, we hold it for you and remit it to you by noon on the day after we deliver, with a statement you can check parcel by parcel. Where that day is not a banking day, by noon on the next banking day. Riders carry no float beyond what the day's work requires.

COD handling charge. Where a COD handling charge applies to your account, the rate is agreed with you in writing when your account opens, and it is applied at the point the order is booked. It appears on your statement at that agreed rate. It is never added afterwards, never changed without telling you first, and never applied at a rate other than the one you agreed. Our current rate is 1% of the collected amount on orders above Rs 1,000, and nothing on orders of Rs 1,000 or less.

10 · Your responsibilities

  • Give a complete address and a phone number that will be answered in the window.
  • Pack adequately for a motorcycle, or tell us so we can.
  • Declare the value honestly, and declare anything fragile, perishable or liquid.
  • Do not ask a rider to do anything unsafe or unlawful.

11 · If something goes wrong

Tell us. Phone or WhatsApp 0312 523 1100, or email islamabad@scootica.com, with your order number. Our refunds and cancellations policy sets out what happens next and how quickly.

12 · Limits on our liability

Our liability for a delivery is limited to the cover limit in section 6, plus a refund of the delivery fee where we failed to deliver. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost profit, lost opportunity, a missed occasion — and nothing in this section limits a liability that Pakistani law does not permit us to limit.

13 · Changes to these terms

We may update this page. The date at the top always says when. A change never applies retroactively to a delivery you have already booked and paid for.

14 · Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Islamabad have jurisdiction.
